Splashing in the water

This weekend was absolutely beautiful outside. We took full advantage of using Katelyn's little pool, both Saturday and Sunday. She loves the water so much! She usually gets mad when I take her out of her baths, because she just loves to sit and splash. I think we have a little swimmer on our hands!

Mother's Day

My Mother's Day was extra special, because it was my first one. Katelyn and Matt let me sleep in until 9am. I have not done that in FOREVER. Then Katelyn and Matt made me breakfast and spoiled me with gifts. I would have to say that the best gift of all is being a mom to Katelyn and a wife to Matt. After breakfast  we all went for a walk. We spent a lot of the day outside, since it was beautiful in Springfield. We were fortunate enough to spend the day with Matt's side of the family. In the afternoon we went over to Matt's grandma's house and hung out in her backyard with everyone. My first Mother's Day was extra special and I am grateful that I was able to spend it with family and the ones I love!

Six month pictures

We took Katelyn to get her six month pictures last week and I picked them up today! I took these pictures from my phone of the original copies, so they are not that clear, but I loved all of them. PS I can not figure out how to turn the pictures.

Sweet Peas..........YUM

Today, Katelyn ate her first food. She has been eating rice and oatmeal cereal since she was three months. Now that she is six months, we are moving on to some veggies and fruits. Today I fed her sweet peas. She seemed to really enjoy them. She did not make any funny faces. Matt took some cute pictures of her eating.

Playing and playing

Katelyn enjoyed helping mom put together a cute house she got from her Uncle Ryan. It makes so many noises and sounds. I am sure when she starts crawling this will be a favorite toy to play with!
