Taylor the Elf

I introduced Katelyn and Noah to Taylor the elf. She is our elf on the shelf. I know Katelyn isn't suppose to touch her, but Katelyn wanted to hold her. We read the book together about the elf. I think she will get a kick out of finding the elf every morning!

Katelyn's Minnie Party

We had Katelyn's 2nd Birthday Party with family and friends on Saturday. It was a packed house, but a great time. Katelyn got a million gifts and we are so grateful for all of them. She is truly loved a lot!!! Happy 2nd Birthday Katelyn!

Noah is two months old

This is a late post, but Noah is now two months old! He has gotten a little bit better with the crying. I had to switch him to formula, because something in my milk was making him have HORRIBLE gas pain. The little guy still gets the gas pain, but not as much and not as bad. Every time we put him on the floor on his back, he tries to roll over to his belly. He is almost there, but gets stuck by his arm. When he is on his belly, he can roll over to his back. His sleeping is wonderful, he has been sleeping through the night now, for almost a week!!! I hope this continues, because I head back to work soon. Katelyn still adores him and always wants to be around him. We love our little buddy to pieces!!!

Katelyn's 2nd Birthday

It is a tradition in our house to be served breakfast in bed on your birthday, so Katelyn received breakfast in bed on Tuesday. She is now 2, I can not believe it!!! She loved eating her "pop" that is what she calls a waffle, in her bed. She also opened up a bunch of gifts in the morning to kick off her birthday celebration.

 We then headed to the library for Story time and to check out some books. The library is one of her favorite places to visit. After that,  Grammie joined us and we went to the mall. Katelyn played in the play area and rode the carousel!

We finished the day off with her favorite dinner, spaghetti and meatballs and she had some ice cream for dessert. On Saturday, we are having her Minnie birthday party. She can not wait, she keeps saying she is going to be 2 again!

I got this idea from some of my friends that do it with their kids, so I decided to try it out on Kates. I asked her some questions and I hope to do this every year to see how her answers change.

9. What do you want to be when you grow up? A Butterfly LOL ( I don't think she knows what this means)

Flower Girl

My friend Amanda aka Bratt asked Katelyn to be a flower girl in her wedding. I told Bratt that I could not promise that she would actually walked down the aisle, since she is on the shy side. Katelyn definitely proved me wrong! She and another little girl Olivia, did a wonderful job. I think they were the hit of the wedding, besides the bride, Amanda!

I was also in the wedding and South Paw, the Chicago White Sox mascot, made an apperance!
