Katelyn and I headed to the Children's Museum to spend the morning there. I have a ton of free adult passes to the museum from my aunt, so I do not think twice about heading there for a few hours. We got there right when it opened and Katelyn was the only one for awhile. She loved running around and exploring. Her favorite, by far, is always the water table!

Bike ride
Most Sundays, Matt takes Katelyn on a bike ride and they go to the park too! It is a nice break for me, to get something done around the house all by myself.
The Zoo
I know most people do not like this cool weather in July, but I LOVE it, since I am 37 weeks pregnant. On Saturday, we decided to head to the Brookfield Zoo in the afternoon. It was so nice to walk around and not sweat like a pig. My mom, two cousins, Kates and I had a nice afternoon at the zoo. We were only there for three hours, but with having the free hook up, it was worth it. The animals that we saw, were extremely active! The pictures I took are not the best, because they are from my phone, but I wanted to capture our afternoon at the zoo!
The lion was looking right at us through the viewing window......This was AMAZING!!! |

Big girl bed
Katelyn is moving into a new bedroom and we have been slowly working on it this summer. We got her a new twin size bed last week, and she started to take naps in it. The first couple of days, she was not too sure about it. She napped in it, but needed a little TLC to get to sleep. Today, Matt and I decided to have her sleep in it at night. She went down right away and fell asleep with no problems! Let's hope she sleeps through the night! Either way, she was super easy to transition to a different room and different bed! I am sure the next one won't be this flexible.

Charlie's
This morning, we went with my parents to Charlie's in Bolingbrook. Charlie's is a restaurant connected to the little airport in Bolingbrook. We got a window seat, so we could see the airplanes landing and taking off as we ate. Katelyn was so excited about the airplanes. She really enjoyed watching them throughout breakfast. Afterwards, we went outside and saw them closer up. I think she would have stayed there all day watching them fly by. It was a TON of fun!!!
I loved her expression in this picture! |

The past week...
This past week, we headed down to Springfield to visit Matt's family one last time before baby #2 arrives. The weather was beautiful all week/weekend long. We spent a lot of time outside and enjoying each others company. Here are some of the activities we conquered:

She loved the swing...I think she would have spent all day in that thing |
Dad being silly with Kates We headed to Decatur on the 3rd to visit with our college friends and attended the annual Buckley Pool Party. It was fun to relax in the sun and catch up with good friends. |

Summer Evenings
I love summer because you can enjoy the evenings outside. Matt was kayaking so Katelyn and I tagged along last night. I of course, had the camera with me to take pictures! Here are some of my favorite ones from last night.....
