Chicago Roof Top Pool
Mark (Matt's brother) invited us down for the day to the city to swim at his roof top pool. Since, it was a beautiful day we did not want to pass up on the offer. We headed to the city around 9, which was great, because there was no traffic at all. Mark lives in Lincoln park, right across from the zoo, so there is plenty of parking around his apartment. We had the whole pool to ourselves for the first few hours and by noon it was packed. Katelyn LOVED the pool and playing with Uncle Mark, dad, and mom. Mark made us lunch and then around 2 we headed back home. The weather and company were perfect! I love these types of summer days!

This week......
I have had a math conference all this week from 8-3 for work, so instead of taking Katelyn to Rosa's her Oma has been up here babysitting her. Let me tell you, she is one lucky little girl. She has been on quite an adventure these past three days.
On Monday they went to the Children's Museum..............
On Monday they went to the Children's Museum..............
On Tuesday they went shopping at the Bolingbrook Promenade and IKEA and today they went to the Morton Arboretum with Grammie. She is so lucky to have her Oma to take good care of her. I am grateful for the time they can spend together, since her Oma does not live down the street.
Matt's 30th bday/graduation party
Last Saturday, we celebrated Matt's 30th birthday/graduation with a big party. We had the party at my parents house, because they have a nice big yard and it is more spacious. It was a beautiful day and a fun celebration! I am so glad that Matt is done with his MBA now, because that means we can spend more family time together and he isn't always studying! Happy Birthday and Congrats Matt!!!

Baseball Game
We have been very busy this summer, and I would have it no other way. Tuesday night, we went to the Kane County Cougars game. It was a perfect night for a baseball game. Katelyn enjoyed walking around and climbing up and down the aisles. She was obsessed with the mascot Ozzie and favorite line of the night was, "Where's Ozzie?" We actually never saw him up close, I think that would have been a different story.

Swimming Lessons
Our first day of summer, Katelyn started swimming lessons at the Y. We did this last summer and fall and she loved it, so I decided to continue it this summer. I signed her up on Thursdays, so that way Matt could do the lesson with her. To be honest, I do not feel like being in a bathing suit at 7 months pregnant. She was shy at first, but then she came out of her shell and was jumping into the pool and being loud! I captured a few shots of them from my phone.
